The skiing in and around the Chamonix Valley is second to none. Chalet Lampisterie is perfectly positioned for access to the Chamonix, Argentiere, Le Tour, Le Buet and Vallorcine ski areas. The children’s ski slopes and Ecole de Ski Vallorcine is just across the road in Le Buet itself. The little electric train from Le Buet Station (5 minutes walk from the chalet) connects all of the ski areas. For those that prefer not to drive or bring their car on holiday with them, Chalet Lampisterie could not be more perfectly located. There is also a great ski hire shop in Le Buet itself. Chalet Lampisterie is NOT a ‘ski-in, ski-out’ chalet, although for the more experienced skiers it is possible to ’ski-in’ from Vallorcine on off-piste slopes (this should not be attempted unless the conditions are right and you have been shown by a guide) and 'ski out’ down to Vallorcine on the well marked cross country track!
